About Me

My passion for creative expression began when I was a young child. I loved getting a brand new box of crayons or a new set of water color paints. I would quietly color and create for hours which pleased my mom and dad, due to my curious, and mischievous nature, I kept them busy and on their “parental toes”.

I graduated from the University of West Georgia in 1988 with a degree in Graphic Design. Unfortunately the world of graphic arts did not suit me. Consequently, a few years later, I decided to go back to school in order to become an art teacher. I began working on a degree in Art Education while pursuing my dream of becoming an elementary art teacher. The first day I walked into my very own art room was one of the best days of my life. I worked very hard to get there, and finally the years of hard work finally paid off. I have been happily teaching art to children for the past 16 years. Teaching is both challenging and rewarding. I love the innocence and candidness of children’s' art. Seeing art through the eyes of children continues to keeps my outlook on art and life new and fresh.

I began my journey creating handmade jewelry about two years ago. I created my first piece for my mother for Mother’s Day. It was a lovely piece made from an old batch of polymer clay that I bought on a whim several years prior. It was the interest generated by that piece that inspired me to continue and create more. I began making necklace and earring sets for friends and relatives for special occasions like Christmas and birthdays.
